Christmas Tidings

I love Christmas.

I love the opportunity to create a beautiful table setting,
make food that we wouldn't normally eat,
and use it all to honour the One who gave us  the very first Christmas.

This year our firstborn son is doing an overseas mission trip throughout the summer holidays.
As he won't be here for Christmas, we decided to have our christmas dinner before he left.

Our eldest daughter, Miss A, requested a natural theme for the table setting this year.
She really loves  a more textured and earthy colour palette.
It was all a bit of a stretch for me, but I confess  I really enjoyed the challenge of working with more muted tones!!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas for 2012.

May the God who gave you life be honoured and remembered during this festive season.

  2. It all looks wonderful! Love Kitty's little spoon at the end. Muted tones must have been quite a challenge for you but fun.
