Puck's Garden

Last week I had the marvellous opportunity to create a whimsical arrangement of cupcakes for a wedding photo shoot. The theme was "Enchanted Forest". It was an absolute delight thinking up and creating these treats. I was commissioned to make a dozen cupcakes for the wedding feast.
I drew upon one of my favourite childhood stories,  the immortal Alice in Wonderland. ( I loved Lewis Carroll's magical world so much that we called our eldest daughter Alice!!). His poem, 'The Jabberwocky' has always thrilled me with it's inventive creatures, delectable words and nonsensical whims!! Pure brilliance.
I have a more recent love affair with another genius,  William Shakespeare. Since homeschooling our children and perhaps for the first time in my life, I have an appreciation for his incredible works. A few years ago, we read  "A Midsummer Nights Dream" and were fortunate enough to watch an interpretive  ballet. WOW!
I chose to use some of the characters from this most endearing play in naming my cupcakes.
I am looking forward to sharing with you the stunning photographs from this magical day, but for now you will have to be content with my own version of  "Puck's Garden".  I hope you enjoy it. X
