Chocolate Caramel Slice



Ingredients

BASE:
* 1 cup flour
* 1/2 cup coconut
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 125g melted butter 

FILLING:
* 1x can condensed milk
* 50g melted butter
* 2 Tablespoons golden syrup

TOPPING:
*200g dark chocolate
* 50g butter or copha

METHOD:

* Preheat oven to 1800C.

* Base: Mix base ingredients and press into lined tin. Bake approx. 20 minutes, till just brown.

* Filling:  Melt butter. Add condensed milk and golden syrup. Pour over base and bake for 15 minutes, till just brown.

* Topping: Melt chocolate and butter/copha. Spread over top.

* Refrigerate.

  2. Elise made this Friday...it is TOO nice, especially with home-ground flour! Hard to resist!
    We did have a chuckle at the thought of setting the oven to 1800 degrees.
